In Memory of
HANNAH, the beloved wife
of GEORGE THORNTON of
BOOTH BANK near HALIFAX
who died January 11th 1864
aged 54 years.

Weep not dear friend but be content.
For I was only lent.

In love we liv'd, in peace I died,
You ask'd my life but were denied.

Also the above named GEORGE THORNTON
who died July 21st 1878

I was so long with pain oppress'd
That wore my strength away

It made me long for endless rest .
Which never can decay.

Also in Loving Remembrance of
ELIZA, widow of the late GEORGE THORNTON

This Website is indebted to the Calderdale Family History Society for all of the burial information contained in the middle and south sections. The actual burial records have not as yet been found, so only those graves whose inscriptions can be read are included in the database. There are several thousand more burials in this section, but as yet we do not have the information. Details of this can be found on their website www.cfhsweb.com or email their Search Coordinator at search@cfhsweb.com
